danger!awesome Class: The Art of Laser Cutting

Led by artist and danger!awesome community member Elina Starobinets, this three-session class will guide you through the entire creative process of creating laser-cut gifts and art, from concept sketching to digitizing in Inkscape (an open-source vector-based design program) to laser cutting the finished piece. Along the way you’ll learn artistic and design considerations as they pertain to laser cutting such as tips for maintaining structural integrity and the visual balance of positive and negative space.
